About Us

Pakenham Medical Centre was established over 40 years ago and has served the communities of Pakenham and surrounding districts including Officer, Koo Wee Rup, Nar Nar Goon, Maryknoll. Garfield and Bunyip since that time.

Accredited with AGPAL, Pakenham Medical Centre provides a comprehensive, quality and up-to-date health service to all members of local families. The practice is also proud to treat 3 and 4 generations of some local families.

Our interests include family health including Children, Women’s Health, Mental Health Care, Chronic Disease Management and Geriatric Medicine, and Emergency General Practice Care.

Our doctors, Dr Barbara Inness and Dr Janet Mould, have extensive experience in both urban and rural general practice. Our practice staff, Pauline and Heidi, are renowned for their friendly and competent manner. Pauline has been a valued member of the practice for 40 years.

DR BARBARA INNESS

Dr Barbara Inness has been in Pakenham for over 25 years. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, has a Diploma of Obstetrics with the Royal Australasian College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and has successfully completed the Early Management of Severe Trauma course. She enjoys all aspects of general practice and attends all 3 Aged Care Facilities in Pakenham.

Dr Barbara’s interests include her four children, including three grandchildren and her groodle, Milly. She loves to adventure travel and has visited over 50 countries, including the Arctic and Antarctica. She has developed an enthusiasm for exercise in recent years including hiking, walking, cycling and attends the gym regularly. Barbara believes that regular exercise is the best investment for your health and well-being.

DR JANET MOULD

Dr Janet Mould has been with Pakenham Medical Centre since 2012. She had previously worked in the Cooma Monaro area in New South Wales for more than 20 years.

For many years, Janet enjoyed competing and judging in equestrian events. She recently retired from the sport.

Janet has two children, five grandchildren and is a longtime (albeit suffering) Carlton supporter.
